Thorney Lakeside Luxury Lodges is a family run, adult only, self-catering getaway in the beautiful countryside of Lincolnshire. The site is an existing touring caravan park set in 50 acres of stunning surroundings close to nature with three fishing ponds, woodland walks and plenty of wildlife. 

Due to expansion and the addition of seven new lodges aimed at providing guests with luxurious and comfortable accommodation, the site needed to add to their current sewage treatment system to meet local legislation and Environment Agency requirements, including the General Binding Rules. Renowned for it's peaceful and tranquil setting, it was important that the site had a sewage treatment plant which met its demanding and increasing needs, and offered peace of mind to the business. 

Having previously worked with the Klargester team, and being extremely satisfied with the existing product and service of Klargester, our Specification Manager, Morrison Gray, was delighted to work with Thorney Lakeside Luxury Lodges again to arrange a site visit and assess what was needed for the additional lodges. 

Upon review of the site, the Klargester BioDisc sewage treatment plant, alongside a twin pump station was specified as a new installation to serve the lodges. The BioDisc offers silent operation, no odour and affordable running costs, providing peace of mind to the site owners that there will be no disruption to the environment. To enable the wastewater to discharge to a watercourse on site, a Klargester twin pump station was needed as this could not be accessed via gravity. The twin pump station is fitted with premium Grundfos stainless steel channel pumps, with independent controls and alarm systems for reliable operation.

To complete the project, Morrison recommended our smart monitoring telemetry system, SmartServ Pro to ensure further peace of mind. This means if the system did have an issue the site owners would receive an instant alert and an accredited service partner would be notified to attend the asset for review.
