Klargester Domestic Sewage Treatment Plant installed to replace leaking Cesspool
Owners of a residential dwelling in the tranquil Isle of Sheppey reached out for our help as their current concrete cesspool was no longer fit for use due to being undersized and resulted in ongoing leaks.
The Klargester team were contacted by a local installer, Kent Wastewater to arrange a free site visit to review and establish the best drainage system to serve the property.
Our Area Sales Manager, Will Hadler visited the property in Spring 2022 to carry out an in-depth site assessment to ensure the correct sized sewage treatment plant was installed for the property. Will was on hand to offer advice to the properties owners and provided full guidance from start to finish of the process.
To begin with, Will performed a percolation test which determines the rate of water absorption into the ground. The procedure measures how long it takes a measured amount of water to drain away from a saturated hole dug into the ground. The result of the test determines the suitability of the soil for an underground tank and ensures the ground has sufficient drainage capacity to handle the amount of water that will come from the drainage field.
For this site, due to a high-water table we recommended our Klargester domestic sewage treatment plant.
