Six Bells Inn
A rural inn and restaurant with a, no longer fit for use septic tank and failing drainage field required a new sewage treatment plant
The Six Bells Inn is a perfect country escape set on the edge of the village green, near the duck pond in the pretty Suffolk village of Bardwell. Originating in the late 1500s, the Inn was enlarged in the 19th century and more recently by current owners, offering a characterful blend of old and new. Totally surrounded by countryside, it offers total peace and tranquillity, great food and a country atmosphere.
As the property had evolved over time, the existing septic tank began to fail and was costing a considerable amount of money to empty regularly. The current owners reached out to our Klargester sales team to organise a free site assessment. Alongside a local accredited installer, our team went on site to review the needs of the property.
After inspection, the Klargester team recommended a Klargester BioDisc alongside a twin pumping station. Using tried and tested Rotating Biological Contactor technology, the BioDisc is engineered to treat wastewater to a high level of standards. It uses bacteria to break down the sewage and removes up to 95% of the pollutants in the effluent.
